ABOUT US

                               Rishi Kanva Vedic Microbiology Institute was established in the year 2005 in Gujarat (India) under the patronage of Dr. Chakradhar Frend [M.Sc (Microbiology), LL.B., M.Sc (Vedic Sciences), PhD (Vedic Microbiology)]. 

             VEDIC MICROBIOLOGY VIRTUAL UNIVERSITY is an exclusive Vedic organization dedicated for research and development of Microbiological knowledge mentioned in the ancient Scientific Sanskrit texts (known as Vedic Microbiology) besides highlighting the potential of Vedic microbiology for indigenous--sustainable development and well-being.                                                                         

VMVU works under the aegis of World Vedic Microbiology Organization registered and located in United Kingdom. VMVU is also affiliated to 'Vedic Virtual Vidyapeeth' (registered with Government of Gujarat), European Alliance for Innovation (Belgium), Maharshi VedVyas International Virtual Vedic University (www.e-vedicuniversity.com) since 2013.

The concept of 'VEDIC MICROBIOLOGY' was first introduced publicly by Dr. Chakradhar Frend in International Jain Doctors Conference, in Koba, GandhiNagar, Gujarat in 2004. In this conference for the first time in modern times, Dr. Chakradhar Frend made historic announcement that Rishi Kanva and similar other Rishis of Vedas are Gurus of Vedic Microbiology. He also concluded the subject of Microbiology was in existent Vedic times and also taught in ancient Vedic Universities. This sensational news was published in the newspaper 'BhuSandesh' [edn 8th -14th February 2004] in Patna, Bihar.

In the same year 2004 in Bangalore (Karnataka), Dr. Chakradhar Frend presented full fledged research paper title - "VEDIC MICROBIOLOGY : Microbiology in the Vedas- A Revived History" in World Congress on Vedic Sciences. The then RSS -Sarsangchalak Sri Sudarshan ji applauded this research paper very much.

Furthermore, Under the aegis of Dr. Chakradhar Frend's Rishi Kanva Vedic Microbiology Research Institute a conference viz. 'International Seminar on Vedic Microbiology' was organized in New Delhi from 20th -21st August 2007 with the help of Indian Foundation of Vedic Sciences in Vishwa Dharmayatan Sansthan. In this conference  two books viz. 'Vedic Microbiology' & 'Revived History of Microbiology (Vedic to Modern)' written and edited by Dr. Chakradhar Frend was inaugurated.
